Melissa Moffitt, LPC
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with the state of Colorado. I obtained my Masters in Psychology from Regis University in 1997. As well as being a facilitator/partner for F.A.C.T., I also have a private practice in Parker, Colorado. I have been in private practice for the past three years. I specialize in working with adolescents and their families. I also work with adults and couples. I believe we all have goodness and greatness within ourselves. Sometimes we tend to get stuck and need some extra help. My job is to provide a different perspective and outlook to individuals. I provide my clients with the tools and skills they need to be successful. Being a kid, parent or partner is extremely difficult. I appreciate all of these roles.
Prior to opening my practice, I worked with adolescents and their families as a contract employee in an outpatient mental health setting. I also spent several years working in residential settings as well as day treatment settings. I worked as a Respite Care Provider for children for several years as well. Prior to my work as a psychotherapist I worked in the Corrections field.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my daughter and husband. We love spending time outdoors doing a variety of activities. I am an avid reader, love music and spending time with my family, friends and four legged friends. I also love spending time as a volunteer for organizations geared to helping people and animals.
